For the Love of a GrandchildBlog
posted October 6th 2018
I’m a retired photography lecturer and a writer for many years. I have found that being a grandparent has been a fulfilling and loving experience that has enhanced my enjoyment of life. It’s important to stay active and immerse yourself into new things always. That’s my philosophy. I hope you enjoy reading my contributions and welcome your comments. The start of a cherished life;
Changes to be reconciled.
Reprising role for man and wife
At the birth of a grandchild.
Swaddled bundle, newly born,
Granddad once again beguiled.
Soft toys, teddy, unicorn,
All the joys of a grandchild.
Golden years that swiftly pass;
Plans are made, a life compiled.
Future hangs on blade of grass,
The trials of a grandchild.
Life with its worry and pain
Lifted when a baby smiled,
Now leads along learning lane,
Hand in hand with my grandchild.
