Key Features

  • Kent’s only safari experiences
  • Dinosaur Forest
  • Unique overnight stays

Home to the UK’s original and authentic safari experiences, Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve offers wild family days out, filled with adventure.

Kent’s largest wild animal park, Port Lympne is set in over 600 acres and is home to over 700 amazing rare and endangered animals, across 90 species.

During your visit, you can jump on board a safari truck and journey through the South American, Asian and African Experiences to see incredible wild animals roaming freely, including Kent’s only giraffe herd, camels, antelope, wildebeest, zebra and many more.

There are wonderful walks to explore, where many more animals can also be spotted. Stop by the Palace of The Apes to see the gorilla family and spot our adorable baby gorilla, say hi to primates in our primate trail and take your time in Carnivore Territory, to see our elusive small cats, cheetah and tigers

Later, steel your nerves and venture into the exciting Dinosaur Forest where you’ll discover the spinetingling Spinosaurus, terrifying T Rex, soaring Pterodactyls and many more life-sized prehistoric creatures.

Take a break from your adventures and relax over a delicious lunch at a variety of cafés and seasonal kiosks or for something more leisurely, you can enjoy authentic Italian dishes at Babydoll’s Wood Fired Pizza, or bistro-style meals at Port Lympne Restaurant.

With a variety of overnight stays available, you can even make your adventures last longer and book a short break at one of our unique accommodations, where you can choose from luxury lodges, family style glamping, cosy shepherd’s huts or our historic four star hotel.

Port Lympne is more than a wild day out, we are also a charity with conservation at our heart. Working with The Aspinall Foundation, we are a breeding sanctuary for rare and endangered species and wherever possible, we aim to send animals born at the Reserve to areas of their natural habitat that we protect.  Visitor monies go towards our vital conservation work to save endangered species too.
