Nanny Paulette visits SEA LIFE Centre WeymouthThings To Do

We love SEA LIFE Centres and are delighted to be working with the team at SEA LIFE to offer you, our grandparents, an offer where your grandchildren GO FREE!
Recently, our friend Nanny Paulette, took her 5 year old grandson for a visit to SEA LIFE in Weymouth, here she shares with us their experience…
“We arrived early afternoon & were able to park easily although slightly disappointed to find that it is chargeable.
The entrance is bright & colourful but we did have to queue for a short time to enter.
Reception staff were friendly and helpful, with advice that was both verbal and written in the form of a comprehensive guide leaflet.
I was however, at a loss to know why we had to wait inline almost as soon as we entered, whilst the photographer proceeds to take some photos of visitors. This should be a choice I feel & not almost obligatory as there is no other way through to the attraction other than this. I chose not to waste time in queuing as my Grandson was keen to get in to the centre & walked past only to be asked why we didn’t want our photos taken? The rather rude employee proceeded to remark “was it because we didn’t like having fun?”, I thought this was rather an assumption on her part that we were boring for not having photos taken & found it Very off putting & quite unnecessary.
Once in the centre we found it to be well laid out with copious signage to help guide you around the area. Lots to look at & see with a good balance between indoor & out door exhibits.
The opportunity to walk around a trail & chronologically follow the various themed spectator areas is helpful & ensures that nothing is missed. Blake like the points where he could record his progress with a stamp.
We all particularly enjoyed the various timed feeding events & the employee was knowledgeable & approachable pitching her talks at a level of comprehension, which was suitable for both adults & children.
A firm favourite with our Grandson was the play area which was extremely well designed & a great hit with most of the families on site. Various benches allowed adults to have a well earned rest & a quick coffee break.
There is plenty of variety in this attraction & it is easy to spend an afternoon or most of the day here.
We all enjoyed our visit & would recommend it to anyone who enjoys learning about sea life in a fun, yet educational way.”
We would like to say a big thank you to Paulette for her visit and review 🙂
